Enough of this Carplay vs Android Auto bullshit! Let’s spice things up by experimenting with something entirely new. Say, for instance, can I use Apple Carplay with my android phone? Or does Android Auto work with an IOS device?
I don’t want to bore you with both answers. So, let’s just focus on the first one for this time’s shake.
The straightforward answer to the question is no! IOS and Android systems make the worst partners. But do not lose heart just yet! Keep reading. What if I tell you the secret trick of how I use CarPlay with android or share the location of a hidden gold mine?

Pairing Apple CarPlay With An Android OS: Mission Impossible?
The Apple CarPlay is exclusive to iPhones only. Even a two-year-old knows this generic answer. So, it is of no use to me.
When I dug deeper, I found a bypass to access Apple CarPlay with my Android phone. Sorry, let me rephrase the sentence. I found an IDEA to access Apple CarPlay with my Android phone.
Have you heard of MOD APK android apps? Yes, those modified clone apps. What would happen if I developed a clone CarPlay app for my Android? Theoretically, the MOD APK app will mask the Android codes. Fooling the CarPlay system and connecting to it will not be a big deal.
Unfortunately, all my attempts to build a clone CarPlay specialized for Android phones failed. The sole reason behind this is that CarPlay is an in-built feature of Apple phones, not a separate app.
So, the only way to be successful was to rewrite the entire IOS script modified for my Android device. Too much work. Right?
Good News! Someone else had already tried running IOS on Android OS and did it successfully. Not that he tried to connect his Android to CarPlay. But those scripts convert OS to IOS, making you avail every IOS feature on the Android.
Technically speaking, if the scripts can make iMessage or FaceTime available, shouldn’t it work with CarPlay too? It should have, but it didn’t. Apparently, this cheap OS-to-IOS converter can not copy all the features after all.
Does this mean no CapPlay with Android phones? The hell, yes! Even admitting it makes me feel like a crappy coder. But I will definitely try my luck with the IOS coding for the CarPlay Android version and update you here.
Which Devices Does Apple CarPlay Support?
Apple CarPlay is a tricky feature indeed. The codes do not allow even iPads and iPods to connect to the CarPlay, meaning accessing CarPlay is possible only and only with iPhones.
iPhone models after the 2012 release (iPhone 5) have built-in CarPlay features in them. You can turn on the CarPlay from the settings. It will automatically put your phone into driving mode so that those irritating calls from your boss can not distract you anymore.
Can I Use Apple CarPlay on Android Auto?
I may have disappointed you a little (Maybe a lot!). But I can trade another hands-on secret to compensate for my mistake. What if I let you use Apple CarPlay on Android Auto?
The trick is simple. Download a CarPlay MOD APK, turn on the app, and connect your iPhone to the infotainment system via a dongle. Easy peasy.
I wish it would have been this easy to install Android Auto in Apple CarPlay. It seems nearly impossible. Even if you could summon a magical MOD APK to do the job, it will glitch for sure, making your enjoyable ride into a journey to hell.
Turned My Android Tablet Into Apple CarPlay: Here’s How!
I never thought turning the android tablet into CarPlay would be a child’s play. A dongle is all it takes to trick the iPhone (just like the previous one)!
Downloading the APK and connecting whatever device you have to the iPhone via a dongle will let you access CarPlay. I have seen people turning their home screen into a CarPlay interface just for fun (CarPlay is of no use for TV Screens! I mean, where are you going sitting on your couch?).
Buy a quality dongle and make every screen around you a CarPlay (for no absolute reason).
Final Verdict
I could not make my android phone Apple CarPlay compatible. Merging those high-end IOS features on the handy android system is still a fantasy. But I am a dreamer and not ready to give up just yet. I can not wait to find a bypass to the Apple CarPlay and share it with you. Until then, enjoy the CarPlay features on your Android Auto with the dongle adapter.
