It’s been years since Apple first introduced the first Bluetooth earbuds by getting rid of the 3.5 mm jack in iPhone and forced the users into switching to wireless audio devices.
Again, it was Apple that introduced True Wireless range of ear buds that other manufacturers followed suit. Soon after the Apple Airpods hit the market, other companies started bringing out their own contribution to the new innovation.
The more variants became available, the lesser expensive they got.
Let’s talk about a pair of True Wireless ear buds that I have recently been using, and feel in love with. I’ll be doing a “QCY T2C True Wireless Earbuds Review” today. These are wireless ear buds within a budget.
Let me break it down to what I like and don’t like about these babies. But first, let’s take a peek into the box.

What’s In The Box?
When you first get your hands on the QCY T2C, you’ll find that in the box there is a simple minimalistic charging case. There’s a pair of ear buds resting inside it. You’ll also get two extra pairs of removable ear cushions.
Furthermore, a USB-Micro USB charging cable, and a user manual are there as well. These are pretty basic things that come with pretty much every pair of Bluetooth ear buds you purchase. So, no surprises there.
These Earbuds Have Functional Design
In the early days of the Bluetooth earbuds, people mostly associated them with sports and outdoor activities. This meant minimizing the use of wire.
Nowadays, Bluetooth earbuds are completely wireless. Hence, the term, “True Wireless.”
But then comes the challenge of fitting everything including the battery, drivers, Bluetooth antenna all inside the tiny chassis of these products.
To keep everything lightweight to the extent that it feels almost weightless, QCY in-ear headphones are made of soft plastic. With a matte black exterior, I must add. Each earbud has a small hole for the microphone.
You’ll find two metallic connectors at the heat of them. These are used to charge these babies by relaying electric signals in the case via magnet.
Ergonomics Plays A Key Role
The ergonomically designed products fit well into your ears and sit firmly without causing you any sort of discomfort whatsoever. The rubber ear cushions cling securely inside your ears to prevent them from falling off.
Slightly Unfair Weight Balance Can Prove to be Difficult
QCY T2C Earbuds are pretty similar to the Apple Airpods and pretty much every other Bluetooth in-ear headphones in the market. At the same time, they are different.
So, what’s different about the QCY T2C that sets it apart from its competitors?
For one thing, unlike the Apple Airpods which are sleek and has an almost mushroom-like shape, the QCY T2C has everything bulged up in the upper part of the earbuds.
This does not help with the balanced distribution of weight. But on the bright side, they don’t weigh that much. I mean, just 0.15 ounces per earpiece, that’s not too much, right?
As you go down towards the bottom of the earpiece, you’ll see the neck which to me appeared to be a little longer than I would like them to be. This seemed a bit uncomfortable to me.
Buttons on the Body Carry Out Different Functions
There are two physical buttons on the earpieces, one on each product. These buttons work to enable different functions when you’re listening to music. For example, if you press once on the button on any of the two, the music will pause or resume playing.
If you double-tap the button on the left earpiece you can skip back to the previous track. If you do the same on the button on the right earbud, you can fast forward to the upcoming track.
If you need to activate Voice Assistant, simply hold the button for 1 second while the earpieces are on standby.
In case there is an incoming voice call, you can answer it simply by pressing on any of the two buttons. Reject an incoming call by pressing and holding a button on either of the QCY T2C headphones. Although there is no volume control on these earbuds.
We don’t expect that on entry-level in-ear headphones anyway, do we?
LED Buttons at the Backs Carry Out Important Duties
On the back of each of these products, embedded with each button, is an LED light that turns red or white depending on what you’re doing with it. The light will cycle between red and white while the in-ear headphones are waiting to be paired. Once paired, it will turn a bright solid white.
The charging case provides more battery life than these devices, so you’ll have to carry it around in your pocket while traveling. That shouldn’t be a problem.
Because the charging case of the QCY T2C is reasonably compact (measuring just 3.15 x 1.77 x 1.18 inches). It can easily fit inside the pocket of your everyday pair of jeans.
QCYT2C Earbuds’ Battery Backup is Good
The battery is an important factor for all wireless devices. Especially, the ones you’ll be using continuously without pausing for hours at a stretch.
You’d want the battery of your True Wireless in-ear headphones to last long enough to get you through a day at work, the gym or a hike. And QCY T2C’s battery lives up to the expectations of many of us.
Each earpiece has a 43 mAh battery and the charging case has an 800 mAh one that will last you 32 hours in total. This is even longer than some ANC headsets out there in the market.
Bluetooth Connectivity is State-of-the-Art
The Bluetooth strength of these devices is pretty decent compared to its contemporaries within the same price range. You can walk around in an average-sized apartment wearing these without carrying your device with you. People will not lose any network connectivity or sound clarity.
I could pick up calls from my kitchen when my phone was in the living room. The pair of devices normally connect to the source using Bluetooth 5.0 and support for AAC codec. Although there is a slight issue with the compatibility when it comes to the codec.
If your phone does not have AAC included by default, the earbuds sound a little noisy when you pair it with them.
Other QCY T2C Benefits That We Can Sum Up
The QCY T2C has an IPX4 waterproof rating and is sweat resistant. So, you can wear them at the gym, or when you go for a run, or even in light rain or snowfall. It can very well survive medium to dire weather conditions, and won’t fall off even if you sweat.
When I said ‘in budget’, I actually meant it. These things can give you an optimum audio experience without ripping you off financially. So, this holiday season, these could be a great gift for a loved one, or even for yourself.
Last Words of Mine Before I Leave You Be
QCY T2C is a competent pair of earbuds that you can use without any restrictions. Yes, the weight balance presents some degree of difficulty to the users. But if you use it for say 3 months, you’ll get used to how it functions, performs, and feels while inside your ears.
I see a lot of people referring to Apple Airpods as rivals in their QCY T2C True Wireless Earbuds Reviews. I beg to differ.
To me, the closest rival of these earbuds are the ones from MI. Mi Airdots Pro 2 to be precise. I’d still argue that these babies are slightly better when it comes to the sound quality.
I understand the fact if some of you prefer your music louder without earbuds cramping your ears. Then, there’s the fact of excessive sweat trickling down onto our earlobes. This happens due to us wearing these wireless earbuds for a long time. If you’re in for alternatives, read some of my best bluetooth speaker reviews.
